It's got the jams, got the crunch, got the blues and in 'Walk On' possibly the finest start to a song ever recorded, you just feel like you've gatecrashed the song and it never ceases to astound me. Happy 50th birthday you absolute MASTERPIECE.

Neil Young and Reprise Records announce the release of On The Beach 50th Anniversary Edition, a special 140g clear vinyl pressing, celebrating this milestone birthday of his classic 1974 album, due for release on 8th November.

The follow-up to Harvest, On The Beach was Neil's fifth studio album, and featured musicians from Crazy Horse, The Band, as well as David Crosby and Graham Nash.
