Neighbourly pool together their two 2024 EPs 'Outside 311' and 'Alla Discoteca' as a good ol' fashioned twofer. On one side you've sun blasted, golden sands psychedelic disco funk and the other tight post-punk garage rock. Two distinct sounds but both bursting with joy, wit and bangers from alternating musical worlds.
After releasing their debut album in 2022 that showcased their signature mix of psychedelic and funk, Neighbourly is returning with two EPs that explore new sonic territory
The first, "Outside 311" draws inspiration from bands like Wet Leg and Parquet Courts with more post-punk and garage rock styles. The second "Alla Discoteca" takes a sharp turn and draws inspiration from bands like Altin Gun, Nu Genea, Masayoshi Takanaka and Khruangbin, with more dancey, disco styles and all Italian lyrics. Both EPs offer the listener a sonic adventure, full of twists and turns but with the classic Neighbourly psychedelic, funky charm.
