The Swiss master of early electronic jazz had a few gems that have gone unreleased and my sweet friend, they're absolute beauts. Whether it's soft jazz funk ala Bob James or industrial musique concret with a primitive electric tin box charm or post bop jazz fusion this wee comp of Bruno's unheard nuggets are pure gold.
Swiss jazz and electronic music legend, Bruno Spoerri, unveils a treasure trove of never-before-released songs in this rare collection recorded between 1976 and 1982 and including collaborations with the fabled Radio Suisse Romande-backed GIR (Groupe Instrumental Romand) which featured an all-star ensemble of local musicians, notably drummer extraordinaire Stuff Combe.
Musique Légères offers a marvelous blend of easy listening jazz, joyful synth improvisations, and soulful funk ballads.
Among the hidden gems is the beautifully catchy "Prince Karl", an undeniable hit that truly deserves to be heard.
