Well, colour me absolutely obsessed with Sharp Pins 'Radio DDR', a near perfect indie record that would be a cult classic in any era post 1980 to today. The jangle on this is life giving, we're almost at Byrds level with this one (which is the apex jangle) but lets not reduce this to mere delicious guitar strokes, it's the melodies, the key changes, the deftness of shifts and the stickiness of these hooks that just keeps demanding more listens. It's lo-fi is charming, it fizzles, it breaks, it's perfect pop, it's Motown, it's glam rock, it's pub rock, garage rock, folky pop and wobbly head 60s beat pop. It's a perfect jump off in this post Diamond Jubilee world of indie. Aye, it's good!
